How much does a dental website cost in 2026?

October 31, 2026 · 10 min read ·

Published dental website plans we checked range from a $1,997 one-time rebuild to packages with a $3,000 setup fee and $1,499 monthly charge. Scope and ownership differ, so the useful comparison is the five-year total for the same requirements.

Short answer

A dental website can cost $1,997 for a one-time rebuild or combine a $2,400 to $12,000 build fee with $199 to $1,499 monthly charges at providers that publish prices. Over five years, the examples below total $1,997 to $92,940 before optional extras. Compare scope, ownership, booking, forms, speed, tracking and support before comparing price.

What prices do dental website providers publish?

We checked each provider page on October 31, 2026. The table uses the amounts printed by the seller, not estimates or market averages. The products are not equivalent: some are website-only plans, while others include ongoing marketing.

Published optionInitial feeMonthly feeFive-year calculation
Barlo Digital Launch rebuild$1,997No required monthly plan stated$1,997
My Social Practice Essential$2,400$199$2,400 + ($199 × 60) = $14,340
My Social Practice Performance$3,200$399$3,200 + ($399 × 60) = $27,140
My Social Practice Signature$12,000$399$12,000 + ($399 × 60) = $35,940
Full Media ReadySite Vitals$3,000$399$3,000 + ($399 × 60) = $26,940
Full Media ReadySite Catalyst$3,000$1,499$3,000 + ($1,499 × 60) = $92,940

These calculations hold the current published fee constant for 60 months. They exclude taxes, future price changes, optional services and migration costs. My Social Practice says its $199 and $399 monthly charges include ongoing hosting and management. Full Media describes Vitals as managed website service, while Catalyst adds digital marketing setup and ongoing search marketing. Ask each seller for a written quote before relying on this comparison.

How should a practice compare a build with a monthly lease?

Put every proposal into the same five-year model:

Five-year cost = initial fee + (monthly fee × 60) + required extras + exit cost.

A one-time build can have the lowest stated total, but only if the practice receives the site files, domain control and account access. A monthly plan can be rational when it includes work the practice would otherwise buy separately, such as frequent edits, security maintenance, copywriting or search marketing.

For example, a $3,000 setup fee and $399 monthly plan totals $26,940 over 60 months. That is arithmetic based on the published fee, not a forecast. Compare that total with a written scope for the one-time option, including any hosting or update work the practice expects to need.

Our dental practice website rebuild publishes a $1,997 Launch price. The service page says the domain, hosting and content stay in the buyer's name. Care plans are optional and start at $97 a month, so add one to the model only if the practice chooses it.

What must be included in a dental website quote?

A low price is not useful when the quote omits the work needed to launch. Ask every provider to mark each item as included, optional or excluded.

The assigned Barlo Digital measurement found no first-screen tap-to-call link on 43% of 360 dental homepages. That result does not prove missed appointments. It does show why a quote should specify the mobile call path and why acceptance testing should happen on a phone.

What speed standard should the contract name?

A vague promise of a fast website is hard to enforce. Google recommends that Largest Contentful Paint occur within 2.5 seconds, Interaction to Next Paint stay below 200 milliseconds and Cumulative Layout Shift stay below 0.1. The page was last updated December 10, 2025.

Use those figures as test criteria, not a guarantee of rankings or appointments. Ask which pages will be tested, whether field data or a lab test is being used, and what happens when third-party booking tools affect performance. Test the homepage, a major treatment page and the booking path after launch.

How should tracking and forms handle patient privacy?

Do not accept a generic line that says the website is compliant. Map what each form, scheduler, chat tool and tracking tag collects, where it sends data and which agreements apply. The practice's legal and compliance advisers should review the actual implementation.

HHS says that a cookie banner is not a valid HIPAA authorization and that disclosures of protected health information to a vendor without individual authorization require an applicable Privacy Rule permission and a signed business associate agreement. Read the current HHS tracking technology guidance before approving tags on pages or flows that may involve protected health information.

  • Keep advertising parameters and sensitive appointment details out of URLs.
  • Test exactly what form and booking events send to analytics and advertising vendors.
  • Give each vendor only the data needed for its role.
  • Record the approved data flow and retest it after tool or template changes.

Which proposal is the better value?

Choose the lowest five-year cost that satisfies the same written requirements and ownership terms. A practice that needs a focused rebuild and can arrange updates separately may favor a one-time project. A practice that needs frequent managed changes may favor a monthly plan. A package that includes search marketing should be compared with other marketing packages, not with a website-only build.

  1. Write one scope before requesting quotes.
  2. Normalize every quote to 60 months.
  3. Separate website work from SEO, ads and other recurring services.
  4. Confirm ownership, cancellation and export terms in writing.
  5. Run the mobile, booking, speed and tracking acceptance tests before final signoff.

Fair questions

Is a monthly dental website plan always a lease?

No. Contract terms differ. Some monthly plans bundle hosting, edits and support while transferring ownership; others make continued access depend on continued payment. Ask who owns the domain, copy, design, code, images and analytics, and what usable files the practice receives after cancellation.

Should online booking be included in the website price?

The quote should at least state who connects and tests the practice's chosen scheduler. The scheduler's own subscription may be separate. Confirm whether setup, styling, event measurement and future troubleshooting are included, then complete a test booking on a phone before accepting the site.

Does passing Core Web Vitals guarantee better rankings?

No. Google recommends good Core Web Vitals for user experience and search, but performance is one part of a broader system. Treat the thresholds as practical quality criteria. A fast page still needs accurate treatment information, a clear local relevance signal and a working path to call or book.
